Our 'sorta gin, kinda genever' is great on its own, but also very suitable to be used in a mix or cocktail.
As OTENBA is both a gin and a genever, it works very well in a mix with tonic, but also with ginger ale.
Rather looking for drinks to impress your friends?
Here are some ideas for those classic style cocktails with OTENBA.
30ml lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup*
(2 parts sugar to 1 part water)
*you can add lemongrass when dissolving the sugar in the water to give extra flavour to the cocktail.
15ml egg white
(or a vegan substitute)
Dry shake all ingredients (so no
ice yet). Then add ice, shake
again and fine strain into a chilled glass.
Garnish: 3 drops of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
25ml Vermouth, white or rosé
(we used Belsazar Rosé Vermouth)
1 dash of Orange Bitters (optional)
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
Garnish: salt pickled cherry blossom*
(*rinse first. If not available, you can use a lemon peel twist)
20ml Cocchi Rosa (or Belsazar Rosé Vermouth)
(Gentian Bitter Liqueur)
10ml Luxardo Maraschino
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Stir all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass.
30ml Dry Vermouth (Cocchi or Dolin)
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into an ice-filled glass.
Garnish: orange zest
